Speech Scientist
Help our AI teacher hear children the way a great teacher does. You'll build and evaluate the models that recognise young learners' speech, detect pronunciation errors, and decide when a child has finished talking.
What you'll do
- Train and fine-tune speech recognition and pronunciation-assessment models on children's speech
- Build models for turn-taking, hesitation and interruption in real-time conversation
- Design evaluations against expert human labels, and turn the results into model improvements
- Work with our teaching-voice (TTS) team on natural, child-friendly speech
What you'll bring
- A PhD or equivalent experience in speech processing, phonetics or machine learning
- Hands-on experience training modern speech models (ASR, TTS or speech-to-speech)
- Bonus: work on children's or second-language speech
Education Data Scientist

Turn millions of real lessons into evidence about what good teaching looks like — and use it to measure whether our AI teaches as well as people do.
What you'll do
- Build datasets and benchmarks from real teacher–student interactions
- Develop automated measures of teaching quality and check them against expert raters
- Design and analyse A/B tests and randomized trials of learning outcomes
- Work with researchers and educators to turn findings into better models
What you'll bring
- A PhD or equivalent experience in data science, statistics, learning science or a related field
- Strong Python and SQL, and experience with experiment design and causal inference
- Bonus: experience with educational data or working with LLMs
